Overview

This is an easy and pleasant hike across Tsal mountain. The first leg leads to Drimotopos settlement along a newly opened footpath. The second leg, on forest tracks, down to Lekani village.

Description

From Polinero get on the main road to Lekani, cross it, and continue on a track along a valley, with little shade. Where the tracks ends, follow a steep path to the right, downhill, signposted with plastic ribbons to join a broad path/forestry track. Follow this, now through forest, to join a wide track coming from Likostomo. Continue to the right. Soon the tracks fades out and you continue uphill on a footpath through forest. The footpath is narrow and fuzzy at places but generally easy to follow. After crossing a stream, continue through beech forest to emerge on a clearing and saddle overlooking the few houses of Drimitopos. After a few meters join a track and turn right along it. After crossing the village continue east along a broad track, soon descending, to finish at Lekani village.

Amenities

There are no accommodation options in Lekani. There are a few shops and tavernas.

Good signposting until Drimotopos (mainly plastic ribbons).
