Overview

This is the second part of the Kerdilia mountain traverse climbing down from 1000m altitude to Vrasna village. Its mostly on forest tracks and up to a point in the shade of the forest.

Description

Follow the track that brought you here downhill past a clearing and a dry water trough then on the side of a gully to reach a junction with a minor track. Turn left and after 200m turn right along a fuzzy footpath down to a gully where the footpath becomes wide and clear and decents gently at the begining and a bit steeply afterwards. After crossing a small stream the path emerges on a forest track. Turn right here and after 600m turn left (straight goes to Stefanina village). After about 1.8km on this track turn left on a forestry track that bypasses a large bend of the road. This emerges by a pen just before a stream. Continue on the main track for another 8km with nice views to reach Vrasna village.

Not much to do here. Continue to Nea Vrasna.

Bus to Thessaloniki and Kavala passes from the national road 2km after Vrasna.
